Kling 3.0

Kling is Kuaishou's video model, sold internationally from kling.ai and in China as 可灵. Version 3.0 is the release reviewers treat as the cinematic benchmark: 1080p output, characters that stay consistent across shots, deliberate camera movement, and native audio on the higher plans. It is prompt-and-render rather than timeline-based, with an open platform for API use.

The free tier is a trial, not a workflow. Kling's Basic plan gives 66 credits that reset every 24 hours and do not roll over, watermarked and without a commercial-use licence - independent guides put that allowance at roughly two 5-second 720p clips a day. Credits for real work sit in memberships: Standard $10, Pro $37, Premier $92 and Ultra $180 a month at list price, with first-month offers of $6.99, $25.99, $64.99 and $127.99 and renewals about 12% under list. The model you select moves the burn rate more than anything else: a 5-second 720p clip costs around 15 credits on the 2.5 Turbo model and 45 on 3.0, so Standard's 660 monthly credits cover six to nine 3.0 clips with audio.

Two caveats before paying. Failed takes consume credits too, so prompt iteration is the hidden line in the budget. And 3.0 is no longer the top of the family - Kuaishou opened Kling 4.0 to its highest annual tier in October 2026, while the open platform still lists the 3.0 series as the newest model callable through API, with 4.0 pricing unpublished. If you need watermark-free commercial output at 1080p, size the plan by the clips you actually publish rather than by the plan name.
